Special Education Tutor

Marie Lockyer, private tutor on the Mornington Peninsula is available to parents who are seeking advice and support in establishing a homeschooling program.

As a private tutor, working in my own home, I support students on a one to one basis, generally for one hour per week. Students range from Prep level to Year 10. Students are referred to me by parents, teachers and psychologists.

I am available to support parents particularly involving students with special needs. Most of my private students need support in areas of literacy and or numeracy. I am fully qualified Special Ed teacher, Spalding trained and experienced in all levels of primary and secondary in State Government, Independent and Catholic schools.
I would like to help parents get started on programs appropriate to the needs and abilities of each individual child and be available for testing, reviews and developing programs.

Later addition to this listing: I am tutoring from my home in Blairgowrie, helping students who have difficulty with oral reading, reading comprehension, mathematics, spelling, and /or time management. I am also mentoring two gifted children.
Currently I am completing research for an M Ed, focused on gifted children with Asperger's Syndrome. There may be some parents in your association who may be interested in my research topic.
